Summer Smokes V.2

Thank you everyone for giving me your opinion on whether the sheer pink and bronze was worthy of a tutorial! I will be putting one together tonight. In the meantime, I have become enamored with the idea of different types of Summer Smokes. I love smoldering eyes but let's face it, full on smoke is just not a great look for a summer afternoon.

This is also a tutorial preview so look for it to go up sometime tomorrow! Oh wait... this is cool. On my cheeks I used Vintage Lip Tar. Who knew that the Tars would also make an awesome cream blush?

I used: 3, 14, 15 and 20.

Just a Little Obsessed

Yaby! Am I a dork? I am having such a blast playing with my shadows and Pearl Paints from Yaby. I decided to forego my usual routine of starting with Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base because I really wanted a sheer wash of color. I used a very thin layer of a duochrome pink from my Kryolan Interfenz palette which is cream stage makeup.

I usually do not post so many pictures but I love this look so please forgive me this moment of complete self indulgence. I know it may not be the most technical look I have done but this is the kind of makeup that my tastes have turned to as I get older. I especially love this kind of look for the summer.

What do you think? Is this tutorial worthy or is it too basic?

Using Yaby in a Different Way

I have been demonstrating the intense pigment power of Yaby eyeshadows with some intense looks but here is a look with Yaby where I took it down a notch for anyone who likes it on the softer side.

I don't have swatches but stay tuned for the video tutorial on this look!

New Tutorial featuring Yaby Cosmetics

In my previous post, I extolled the virtues of Yaby Cosmetics. This tutorial features Yaby blues and greens and the drama was intentional to demonstrate the smooth, easy to work with intensity of the shadows.
