I have a preview of the first tutorial in a new series that I started where I draw inspiration from some of the world's greatest art throughout the ages. I do not intend for this to be a literal translation of this piece but taking the components of the piece and utilizing the texture, tone and color scheme into a combination of colors on my eyes.
I have a second version in the works where I completely flip things around for something more somber.
This series is completely experimental and right now, I am a little ambivalent about the final results. I like the look and think that I succeeded somewhat in capturing some of the colors but the blue is a lot brighter in the photograph than it is in real time.
I will have the tutorial up and running sometime this early evening so stay tuned!
**update: I am not loving this. I keep looking at the finished look and it is missing something. Maybe I should have added some top liner? Any thoughts?
