Sandra Bullock enjoyed motherhood by playing the role of a stepmother to the three children of her estranged husband, Jesse James. The Oscar winning actress adopted a baby boy as a single parent named Louis Bardo Bullock, born in New Orleans.
Prior to the breakdown of her marriage, Sandra and Jesse James had begun the adoption process but had kept the news to themselves until Academy Awards 2010, in which Sandra Bullock won the Best Actress Award. The adoption news was one of the best kept secrets in Hollywood and the secret was revealed when Sandra appeared on the cover on America's People magazine where she confirmed that she had filed for divorce from James and adopted Louis as a single parent.
Days after winning the Oscar, James and Bullock separated following the reports that James had cheated on her. She adopted the baby boy as a single parent. The famous Hollywood star did not use her star power and went through the same channels for adoption process as everyone else in America. She saw the best and worst times in life in that year, from winning an Oscar, to separating from her husband, to being a single mom. But the 'Miss Congeniality' star survived the low phase of her life and now enjoys her role as a mommy to her African-American boy, Louis.
Sandra was also an extremely involved stepmother to her cheating husband's three kids from his previous two marriages Chandler, Jesse Jr. and Sunny. She had also helped Jesse win full custody of his daughter, Sunny, by telling the court that she considered Sunny as her own daughter. There were also reports that the celebrity mom, despite of what happened between her and Jesse, was taking care of the kids when Jesse James was in rehab facility after their split.
