Brushing your hair is still a vital way to keep your hair shiny and healthy. Selecting an appropriate brush is very crucial based on your hair type.

The role of brushing

Brushes help to remove knots and tangles and usually smoothen the hair. Brushing removes dirt and dirt skin cells, and promotes the cuticles to lie flat, thus reflecting the light. Brushing also enhances the blood circulation to the hair follicles, encouraging healthy growth.

Types of Brush

Radial or circular brushes: come in various sizes and are semi-circular or circular in shape. These brushes come with mixed bristles for finishing, nylon bristles with a rubber pad, or metal pins for styling. They are exploited to control and tame naturally premed, wavy and curly hair and are perfect for blow-drying.

Half-round or flat brushes: are perfect for all aspects of dry or wet hairstyling and blow-drying. Usually they come with a rubber base with nylon bristles.

Pneumatic brushes: come with a vaulted base of rubber with bristles set in tufts. They can be natural bristles, plastic or both.

Vent brushes: have vented concave centers that permit air circulate from the dryer to go through them. Unusual pin or bristle, patterns are made to lift and untangle even wet hair. Vents and tunnel brush heads allow air to flow freely through both hair and brush so hair dries faster.

Paddle Hair brush: Great for straightening long to medium hair, a paddle hair brush softens as it lengthens. As opposite to the round brush, this style promotes hair to lie flat and is good for hair which is not encrusted too much.

Cushion Hair brush: Made for long to medium hair, this hair brush is an everyday brush that rubs the scalp.
