Sex and the City is a romantic comedy movie based on the hit HBO TV series and novel by Candace Bushnell by the same name. The movie was released on May 30, 2008 and tells the story of four friends dealing with their lives in New York City.

Patricia Field designed the costumes for the movie where the four leading ladies flaunted the most glamorous designer clothes. Field was also nominated for Excellence in Costume Design for Film in Costume designers Guild Awards. The film experienced huge commercial success and making millions on its first day. The film recorded biggest opening for an all woman starrer movie and 49% of critics gave the film positive reviews as reported by Rotten Tomatoes.
