Patty Hewes is a fictional character in the American legal thriller 'Damages'. Patty's character has been portrayed by Glenn Close. Her portrayal attained her several awards, including one Golden Globe Award for Best Actress Television Series Drama and two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress.

Being portrayed as ‘brilliant’, ‘master manipulator’, and ‘ruthless’, Patty is a litigator who manages her own law firm called, Hewes and Associates. Regarded as “a woman who commands power and influence in a male-dominated world", Patty’s character is praised for its complexity as well as the performance of its portrayer, Close.

In Damages, Patty is introduced as a lawyer who takes a class action lawsuit against billionaire Aurthur Frobisher.
